Amazing

Location was absolute perfect - very central and close to major attractions. Very quiet too.

If I had to point out a thing, it would be that due to the downtown location and being in a touristy area, you can find more authentic areas of the city - however, I loved being close to everything and for this the hotel is perfectly located.

We spent five beautiful, relaxing days in Lisbon, and our stay at the hotel certainly contributed to that. The rooms were super clean, the service was attentive, and the hotel's location was great. The rooms were exactly as promised by the photos. It was especially nice that we could check in before 3:00 PM, allowing us to relax a bit after an early flight before exploring the city.

Excellent hotel that exceeded my expectations!

I’m very pleased with my stay at Pestana Rua Augusta in Lisboa! The hotel room is very comfortable and immaculately clean. I greatly appreciated the daily house keeping of the room and bathroom. I originally chose this hotel due to its excellent location to public transportation and city highlights. But what truly stood out to me during my stay is how friendly and welcoming the staff are. They went above and beyond during my stay to ensure my comfort, ease of travel, and even surprised me with a present in my room for my birthday despite me not mentioning it at all! I can’t recommend this hotel enough for the most convenience and comfort during your travels to Lisboa.

Great location, beautiful property

Great location. We had a really nice room. Good buffet breakfast. The welcome snacks and drinks were a nice touch.

When we were checking out, they couldn’t verify which card we’d used initially to pay for the stay and I had to produce the receipt to prove that it was paid upon check-in. This delay almost caused us to miss our flight.

Exceptional

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay. You're in the city center, location is just perfect. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the bathroom and shower big and perfect. I looove when there are slippers in the room and there were !!! The lobby is beautiful too, the bar is superb. Now of course, the best of the best : the breakfast. OH.MY.GOD. My partner said 10 times "I think I never had such a good breakfast". It's true, it was amazing. ALL the products seem to be homemade and fresh and taste so good. You have everything, different breads, potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausages, veggies (and all of these slightly change day by day) and everything to go with them, and sweet choices to die for, cakes, pasteis de nata of course (amazing), pancakes, yogurt, granola, peanut butter, chocolate paste, different seeds, and so on ! Omg so much, I've uploaded a video of the buffet on my google review ! Also the little attentions from the hotel were sooo cute and pleasant !!! First day we got back to our room, we had two pasteis de nata waiting for us and a little bottle of ginja, that was awesome !!! Next day, they had hot chocolate downstairs (see pictures) with christmas cake ! and in the room, we found a little pot with everything inside to make the same hot chocolate as theirs, with a note and explanations. We traveled a lot but it was the first time we got stuff like that.

I can only put the highest note because it was perfect. I would just say we did miss one thing : more pillows ! Because at home we have like 4 pillows each, we are pillow lovers xD in that room we only had 2 little ones, and sometimes in hotels you open a closet and can find others but not there, there is actually no closet. Maybe if we asked the reception we would have get some more, but it really wasn't that important.

This is the hotel for self-respecting people!

I am a very experienced traveler across the world, and I found everything to be perfect and ideal - the location, room, cleaning, breakfast, and cooks there worked with true love. The receptionists were very helpful. Very welcoming environment.

I recommend that the hotel manager build a reception office that would be pleasant, representative, and comfortable for workers. There are just a couple of desks in the lobby for receptionists, which doesn't look like a proper reception area. Moreover, it's quite cold and even windy in that place now, which are inadmissible conditions for receptionists' work.

An absolutely lovely stay at a gorgeous hotel with the friendliest staff imaginable.

We liked everything about this hotel! The location was absolutely ideal for us, the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfast was brilliant, our room was lovely, always clean and tidy, and very comfortable. We received some lovely complimentary gifts in our room, and there was fresh water and a coffee maker. We requested a kettle and that was delivered in an instant. And even though we were in a very busy part of the city, the room was quiet and cosy.

There was nothing we didn't like! Everything was perfect! We wondered if we should have chosen a hotel with an evening restaurant but the reception staff recommended some lovely nearby restaurants, and it was always nice to return to the hotel for a late night drink after dinner.

One of the nicest, newest hotels with unbeatable location and top staff. Can't wait to visit again!

Amazing location right by the town center, walkable distance to everything, from the water/Praca do Comercio, to Church of St Anthony, Castelo Sao Jorge, to public transport and other stops like Rossio Square, Santa Justa Elevator, and just really too many to note down. Amazing streets filled with restaurants and Portuguese Tarts, and even hole in the wall spots selling succulent Bifana (pork sandwiches). The hotel itself has sound proof windows so has all the location look and feel of brand new hotel, and window views, without sacrificing a quiet nights sleep (not that it is noisy but if you like to sleep in between walks or wandering, you can do so in peace). The bathroom is slick and nice and the soaps were moisturising and nicely scented. The soaps and shampoo/conditioner were pumps so felt easy to access. The hotel has decent breakfast selection from cold to hot foods and the complementary welcome cherry drink and tart was a nice welcoming gesture. The lighting in room was beautiful and illuminated certain areas giving this a 5 star feel. The mini bar fridge had complimentary drinks (1st round stocked) which was unexpected and very nice. The different staff at the front desk were all so welcoming and willing to spend time with us to help share their views of Lisbon. Super friendly!

The rooms could be bigger although this is right in an incredible location so I'm guessing this would have been difficult and might not be possible for the area and really if you are spending more time in the hotel, I daresay you are doing it all wrong :)

The location is amazing. It's literally connected to the arch at the Plaza Commercio (the main square). Every touristy location is pretty much walkable, except for the hill with the crucifix. Also, the staff are so professional and courteous. Special mention to Sarah and Joao -- they are 100% SUPERSTARS! Thank you Sarah for the recommendation of Maria Cantita for lunch (we still remember this fondly) and thank you Joao for making our breakfast chit-chats so memorable.
